Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Zwanet’s research focuses on the neural representations of self-concept during adolescence. She aims to examine which background- and environmental factors influence the development of self-concept and self-concept clarity. Also, she is interested in the influence of individual differences in the neural representations of self-concept on social functioning and academic motivation. In her research, she uses a novel self-concept task and fMRI techniques.

Her (co)promoters are Mariƫt van Buuren, Lydia Krabbendam, and Tuong Van Vu.
