MoPriya Somai
In the upcoming year, MoPriya will be joining the GUTS project as a research assistant in WP1 Rotterdam, with a focus on EEG data collection during tasks that measure processes related to self-regulation.
She obtained her Research Master’s degree in Neuroscience and Cognition from Utrecht University in 2023. Throughout her studies, she deepened her interest in both conscious and subconscious social behaviour. Accordingly, her internships projects included research on trust in humans versus artificial intelligence using modified trust games, research on intentional binding through gamified tasks in a virtual world whilst collecting EEG data, and research on specific anosmias caused by genetic variation in the olfactory receptor genome and how this could lead to altered subconscious reception of social information.
