Miriam Dietz
Miriam is a PhD candidate with affiliations to the GUTS project, the Out in School project at the University of Groningen, and the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology (ICS). Her PhD trajectory focuses on exploring the contextual effects on sexually and gender diverse youth’s school outcomes and mental health. Within the GUTS project, she particularly directs her attention towards investigating friendship networks (WP2), aiming to unveil intricate insights for the advancement of knowledge in this domain.
Drawing upon her background in Clinical and Applied Social Psychology, Miriam is expanding her interdisciplinary approach by integrating Sociology into her research endeavors. Her research interests span a wide range of topics, including sexology, addiction, prototypes, LGBTQ+ individuals, and mental health, allowing her to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of societal dynamics and human behavior.
