Jaïr van Nes
Jaïr is a research assistant for WP1 of the GUTS project, having worked for the SYNC lab at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) since 2022. Jaïr facilitates communication between the GUTS team at EUR and the Erasmus Medical Centre (EMC). They are primarily involved with data collection for the GUTS pilot at the EMC, conducting MRI scans whilst also providing training and instruction to other (PhD) researchers in Rotterdam who are preparing for the first wave of data collection for WP1. Jaïr has a background is in neuropsychology and sociology, and hopes to use their interdisciplinary background to enrich their own academic work and pursue their interests in citizen science, neurosociology, neuroethics, and mental health policy.
