Guy is a PhD candidate in the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at Leiden University. Before that, he completed the research master’s programme in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University. Currently, his PhD research focuses on how social and emotional processes shape pro-environmental behaviour in adolescents and young adults. As part of WP2 within GUTS, he investigates friendship selection and influence processes on pro-environmental behaviour usinglongitudinal social network analysis. In addition, he examines how self-control and pro-environmental group norms help young adults translate their pro-environmental attitudes into behaviour.
