Carmen Mendes de Leon
Carmen is a PhD candidate in WP3 of the GUTS project at the Amsterdam UMC. Her research focuses on the neurobiology of antisocial behavior, with the goal of obtaining a more profound understanding of the factors that determine why certain children persist in antisocial behavior while others desist. Carmen has a background in psychology and neuroscience and obtained her research master’s degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2023. Her master thesis focused on impaired perceptual insight in schizophrenia.
