GUTS Kick-off Conference
Building a multidisciplinary research community
The GUTS Kick-off Conference marked the launch of the consortium and provided a platform for researchers to establish connections across projects and disciplines. The event facilitated discussions on the consortium’s scientific agenda, opportunities for collaboration, and strategies for maximizing societal impact. By bringing together diverse stakeholders from the outset, the conference laid the groundwork for a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to youth mental health research.
In addition to introducing the consortium’s research programme, the conference created space for participants to exchange perspectives on key challenges and priorities in the field. Discussions highlighted the importance of integrating scientific, professional, and lived-experience perspectives in order to address the complex determinants of youth mental health and well-being. The event helped establish a shared vision for the consortium and fostered relationships that continue to support collaboration across institutions, disciplines, and sectors.
