AI in research is a hot topic at the moment. From the many new tools available and new trends, it can be difficult to figure out what tools are right for you and your research. The perfect solution to this was an informative hands-on workshop on AI research tools. We had a successful and informative workshop on AI research tools by Konrad and Tim in Utrecht.

We started the workshop with an introduction to what AI in research entails. The first part was on tools to search literature. We received a great overview of tools that we could use to search for relevant papers, and asked the tool one of GUTS most important research questions: What is self-regulation? This resulted in several answers and descriptions, which feel free to explore yourself on the SciSpace tool.

The workshop continued with a practical session, in person and online, where we learned to apply/use the tools presented in the start. We had a productive session and were able to get all answers to our questions and provide tips on how to best utilize the tools.

All in all, the AI workshop was a great success and definitely shows the importance of organizing such practical and insightful workshops for our GUTS community. And we now know how AI tools can be super useful for us researchers.
